Today we chose as our down day to just relax around the campground. We rode bikes, played at the playground, and watched some of the remaining Olympic events (yes, there is cable here!). As we headed out to dinner, we happened to look down the street towards the National Park. This is what we saw:

Naturally (he he), we decided we should be fire thrill seekers and decided to go for a closer look. The fire was about 1/10 of a mile from the road at one point.

After dinner, we went to the West Yellowstone Rodeo.

The kids got to do a calf scramble (try to be the first to grab a ribbon tied to the calf's tail).

They each got a gold dollar for participating.

Marina even got called out by the rodeo clown to do a dance contest with 2 other people.

The rodeo was a little "touristy" and not as much of an actual competition like we are used to, but still a lot of fun!
