Glacier day 1 consisted of driving up to the Many Glacier area of the park. It was very breezy again and a bit chilly, as well. It remained overcast for most of the day, so it wasn't very conducive for quality photos of the landscape.

Gavin got out and said, "I'm ready to hike!"

We headed up the Swiftcurrent canyon toward the Redrock Falls.

We stopped along the way at Fishercap Lake and happened to see a Moose (bottom right of picture).

Christian had his pole, but no luck at this lake. Ranger said nothing to catch in this one.

Redrock Canyon - long downhill of falls through the red rock.

These faces say it all - they love this as much as I do!

Upper Redrock Falls (behind Marina)
They bouldered around the river and part of the way to the top of the falls.

Christian got a few nibbles, but no takers.

Our friend, the moose, was still hanging out at Fishercap on our way back. We got a bit closer from the other direction.

There were several reports of others seeing a bear and her 2 cubs around Redrock Lake (just below the falls), but we didn't stumble across any - thankfully. Total round trip about 4.2 miles not including the many side hikes.

Back to the camper for schoolwork, tomahawk making, and grilling out for dinner.
Good night to huddle around a fire!
