Today, we took 101 down the California coast to Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. On the way, we stopped at the beach for a little fun in the surf.
The water was cold! Christian and Marina got caught by a high wave.
At Prairie Creek, we saw some awesomely huge redwoods and fern groves (that set the scene for the movie Jurassic Park).

Corkscrew Tree
We had dinner on the jetty at the Chart Room restaurant overlooking the Crescent City Harbor chock full of sea lions, pelicans, and sea gulls.
We got back to the campground in time for some horseshoes, tetherball, and playground fun.
