We decided to go Indian Rock Art "hunting" today. We took a couple of trails and saw some pictographs (painted) and petroglyphs (carved).

Courthouse Wash Pictograph

Petroglyphs found at various points along the Colorado River are estimated to be between 600 and 1,000 years old.

We even saw some fossilized 3 toed Allosaurus dinosaur footprints.

From the Dinosaur Footprints trailhead, we picked up the Poison Spider Mesa offroad trail and headed up!

Getting out to check for the best way down.

We found a shady spot and this was our view for lunch.

Who's idea was it to let them drive?

From there, we headed up Long's Canyon offroad trail up toward Dead Horse Point overlook.

We barely fit under:

Dead Horse Point Overlook - the Colorado River is 2,000 feet below!

Dead Horse Point overlooks Canyonlands National Park.

He always has to push it and sit on the edge just to scare the poop out of me.

Of course, we got some bouldering in while we were here!

At the campground here, our campsite backs up to a horse pasture.

Marina finally got the horses to come over.
All it took was the shake of a carrot bag - they knew that sound!

The brown one really liked Gavin!!

What a gorgeous moonrise view from our campsite tonight!
