Here's a picture of our campsite here at Redwoods RV Resort:

We did a couple of hikes at Jedidiah Smith Redwoods National Park today. Somewhere in this park is the largest Redwood in the world (they don't reveal the location). We started out with the Stout Grove hike.

We took a side trail over to Smith River.

After that, we headed over to do the Boy Scout Tree Trail to Fern Falls. The falls ended up being kind of a disappointment. There was a large tree had fallen over the falls and you couldn't even see most of it. The enormous redwoods didn't fail to impress, though.

They set up this pose themselves...

We ended up about 8 miles today! Somehow, the kids still had energy and were begging to go to the beach after dinner.

The tide was down so low, that even on the sandy part of the beach, we couldn't get close to the water without being sucked into the spongy sand typically underwater. We did get a neat view of the sun going down behind the Battery Point lighthouse (only accessible at low tide).
