When I started planning this, I recalled that the last time Christian and I were in Moab, we missed out on an awesome hike called the Fiery Furnace. It is a Ranger-Led-Only trail that you are not able to do alone (because of the level of difficulty and maze of sandstone fins), you must purchase tickets, and there are only 2 hikes a day. They put tickets on sale 6 months in advance and they sell out pretty quickly. About 5 months ago, I was lucky enough to score the last 4 tickets available for any days that we are here. So, I have been looking forward to this for quite a while! Well, it didn't disappoint. What an awesome experience! Our kids were the only children on the hike so, they pretty much had the Ranger's undivided attention for the duration of the 3 hour hike. This type of bouldering and exploring is right up their alley, add in the info they learned from the Ranger and it quickly became their favorite hike of our trip.

Below, we are approaching Walkthru Arch. Just beyond this we had to go through Crawlthru Arch, too!

Skull Arch (looks like an upside down skull)

Here are a couple of shots of other parts of the park we passed.

We had lunch back at the camper. We decided against going on another offroad trail because Christian wasn't feeling well. The kiddos went swimming at the campground instead!

We had dinner at Pasta Jay's to celebrate our 13th Anniversary. 13 has been a significant number at this stop! We were married on the 13th, this is 13 years of marriage, our campsite is M13 (and M is the 13th letter of the alphabet), AND the Jeep we rented is #13.
