Glacier day 2: We headed across the Going-to-the-Sun road. The views were amazing as you weave your way between the mountains.





We set out on our hike for Avalanche Lake. The trail follows Avalanche Creek for the first bit.





Then, the trail weaves through the cedar and redwood trees.



Finally, you come to Avalanche Lake and it's amazing aqua water fed by waterfalls dropping almost the entire height of the mountains.



Christian tried some fishing again.



The rest of us had a snack.



Then, we all had a quick nap (with the bear spray still handy).






Total hike mileage was today around 6 (and yes - Gavin walked every step himself!). We drove a little further down Going-to-the-Sun Road to Lake McDonald and had pizza and pasta for a late lunch/dinner at the Park Lodge.
