Today we headed down to Old Fisherman's Wharf to take a whale watching cruise. We all dosed up on Dramamine and crossed our fingers that none of us would get sea sick. We went with the Princess Monterey Whale Watching tour on the 75ft Pacific Explorer. We had a very good time. We saw lots of sea lions and two humpback whales that we followed for a while. Our stomachs held up and none of us got sea sick!

We then stopped at a restaurant on the Wharf called Gilbert's and had a great seafood feast - yum, yum, yum. We ate outside on the patio overlooking Monterey Harbor and we got to watch the boats come and go, as well as, the sea lions and sea gulls playing. The building in the background is the Commercial Wharf where the big fish markets are.

We thought this day was going to be much better...until we got back to the campground. Marina and Christian started complaining that their stomachs hurt and Marina threw up. We thought at first that it may be delayed sea sickness, but then Christian's bowels started, too. Bad shrimp? That's the only thing they had eaten at lunch that I hadn't. We are just going to lay low for the evening and hope that everyone is ok.

Tomorrow, we are staying on dry land and going to the Monterey Bay Aquarium!
