We pulled out of Cincinnati at about 5:40pm ET on August 24th. We stopped in Terre Haute for dinner at Sonic - yum! We drove until about 2am CT and pulled into one of only 2 spots left at a rest stop in Concordia, Missouri. Since there is NOTHING in central Missouri, not even a Walmart, we decided to just pull in and snuggle up between the truckers! We got up and on the road again about 8:15am CT.

Mileage: 75,597

For those who say there is nothing in Kansas, that's not entirely true! We were definitely impressed by the GIANT wind turbines. Very impressive...

Marina won't watch anything on TV but Barbie Mermaidia - we've now watched it 3 times. She slept well in the motorhome. Taking a nap yesterday and today and sleeping while strapped in on the couch, as we drove after bedtime. Tug is man's best co-pilot.

The lady at the campground suggested that we come up through Loveland, CO to get to Estes Park, because it is easier on RVs. The drive was absolutely beautiful. Just enough room at the bottom of Big Thompson Canyon for the river and the road. Small waterfalls, a little whitewater, and lots of fly-fisherman. Just as we got into Estes Park, we saw this elk right on the road!

Estes Park Moose

We got to the campground just before dark (about 7:45MT). Great timing to unhook the Tracker and get the motorhome backed in and hooked up while we could still see. We are staying at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. We did a few set up things and then took the Tracker the 4.5 miles back into Estes Park for a quick bite to eat and a run for some fruit at the grocery. We were soooo exhausted by the time we got back that we all jumped into bed immediately (about 10:30 MT). What a long day!

Mileage upon arrival at Estes Park campground: 76,269 (1,156 miles)
