Today was a great day in Monterey! Beautiful weather and clear skies made for a great walk along Cannery Row, a tourist strip along the beach. We first set out for the Monterey Bay Aquarium. What a neat place! Very crowded because of the holiday weekend, but still very enjoyable. I think there are more foreign people there than Americans for sure!
After the Monteray Bay Aquarium, we toured through some of the shops on Cannery Row and found some souvenirs. Marina got a really cool pink polka-dotted sting ray. We even walked down on the small beach and Marina played a little. We then went to dinner at Louie Linguini's Seafood & Pasta Restaurant. After some clam chowder and calamari, we all enjoyed some pasta!
Back at the campground, we are getting packed up and ready to head out tomorrow for Yosemite. We will be in the electronic dark for the next few days, as there is no cell or interent service in Yosemite. The Yosemite campgrounds don't take reservations since it is after Labor Day, so let's hope we get a spot in one of the three Yosemite Village campgrounds! I'm sure once we get into Las Vegas (our next stop after Yosemite), I will have some amazing Yosemite pictures to post. We intend on doing some great hiking! |
