Today is our 7th anniversary! We are traveling today. We started out heading east out of Grand Canyon National Park and stopped at the Desert View Watchtower to get a different persepective of the canyon. This is also a place where you can actually see the Colorado River flowing through the canyon.

We then continued toward Colorado and stopped at the four corners monument (the only place in the US where 4 states come together: Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona).
After a 5 hour total drive, we arrived in Mancos, Colorado. We chose this place because Echo Basin Ranch Resort is equidistant between two places we want to see: Cortez, CO (home of Mesa Verde) and Durango, CO (home of the Durango/Silverton Railroad). Echo Basin Ranch is also a horse ranch and Marina loves horses, so I figured she would love it here. Boy, did I figure right. We picked a spot right against the pasture fence and she has been fascinated all evening!
