It's our last day here in Estes Park, and Marina started the day by helping Yogi Bear put up the flag.
After that, we made our way to the Rocky Mountain National Park for some hiking. We parked at the Park & Go and took the free park shuttle to Bear Lake. There we took in the sights and then headed towards Alberta Falls. The trail from Bear Lake to Alberta Falls was 1 mile. We hung out at the falls for a little while and completed Marina's Junior Ranger booklet. We then hiked the 1 mile to the Glacier Gorge Trailhead where we got on the shuttle and it took us back to our car. We then drove to the Moraine Visitor's Center where Marina was presented with her Junior Ranger badge!
Back at the campground, we were thinking about making dinner, but decided that we were too tired to cook! We enjoyed some delicious Mexican cuisine at the Grumpy Gringo - double yum! We are packing up some of our stuff and getting ready to head out in the morning. Utah here we come! |
